Senior Leadership Role Reporting to CEO

Driving strategic direction, operational excellence and compliance across the organisation’s Corporate Services, while ensuring critical business functions are aligned to the needs of the organisation is the key focus of this position. 

Based in Townsville our client, NQ Dry Tropics, enables and supports the dry tropics community to achieve sustainable management of land and water.

In this repositioned role you will report to the Chief Executive Officer, work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Board of Directors, Finance & Risk Committee and other internal and external stakeholders, and lead a dedicated Corporate Services Team. This will involve strengthening corporate services as a key enabler for organisational operations, ensuring alignment between corporate services and operational needs, and facilitating informed decision-making and integrated service delivery.

You will be accountable for: corporate finance; procurement and contract management; governance and compliance; information management and technology; property and facility management; risk management; workplace health & safety; human resources management; and related monitoring, evaluation, reporting and improvement.

As the organisation is undergoing a period of transformational growth, and a number of initiatives are underway to improve the capability and capacity of the organisation, your leadership will be vital in leading and sustaining that change.

It is therefore anticipated you will: be accomplished leader and change manager; have a sound knowledge of corporate services best practice and contemporary related issues; be able to demonstrate your systems thinking, risk management knowledge, strong people focus and process driven approach; and hold qualifications in a related field. An understanding of Lean Office principles and techniques would be an advantage.

Applicants must currently reside and be permitted to work permanently in Australia, hold a ‘C’ class driver’s license and be available for regular travel, including overnight stays, as required.
